Crucial Expands Its Memory & Storage Portfolio With High-End Products, Now Offering Faster PCIe Gen5 SSDs, DDR5 & CUDIMM Memory Solutions

Micron’s Crucial has unveiled its newest range of memory and storage products, featuring products offering “blazing-fast” performance to end users.

Crucial’s Newest Gen5 SSDs Feature Up To 11,000 MB/s Speeds, Unveils Newer CUDIMM Memory As Well

Micron has been making rounds in the industry, particularly for its achievements within the HBM and memory industries, but it looks like the firm is now dedicated to the consumer segment. The company has revealed the expansion of its consumer portfolio, now adding the next generation of SSDs and memory modules to make a dominant entry in the market.

Starting with its storage devices, the Crucial P510 is the company’s high-speed offering for the markets, with read and write speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s and 9,000 MB/s, respectively. Thanks to the PCIe Gen 5.0 technology, the P510 SSD manages to bring industry-leading performance and impressive efficiency figures and is 25% more power-efficient compared to previous-gen options. In terms of capacity, SSDs are offered in 1 TB and 2 TB configurations, which is limited, but Crucial will expand in the future.

Crucial has unveiled the P310 SSD for the more mainstream segment, with read speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s. Given its compact form factor, the SSDs are said to primarily target consoles such as the PlayStation 5. Besides SSDs, Crucial has also announced updates to its consumer memory portfolio, including a new configuration for its existing Crucial DDR5 Pro OC memory, now offering a 32 GB density option along with the 16 GB choice.

Moreover, the Crucial DDR5 Pro memory will also be available in 64 GB configuration, with a speed of 5,600 MT/s. And interestingly, this will be the world’s first consumer memory to offer a dedicated heat spreader for optimal heat dissipation. Apart from this, there are multiple CUDIMM and UDIMM solutions, which are detailed as follows:

  • Crucial DDR5 CUDIMM/CSODIMM: Building on the 16 GB DDR5 clocked unbuffered dual inline memory modules (CUDIMM) and clocked small outline dual memory modules (CSODIMM) launched in October, Crucial is now offering CUDIMM solutions in 32 and 64GB densities and CSODIMM solutions in 24 and 32GB densities at 6400 MT/s. With these additions, Crucial now has the broadest line of JEDEC-compliant CUDIMM and CSODIMMs in the market, enabling broader adoption of the new CUDIMM and CSODIMM form factors with wider capacity options to better accommodate data-intensive AI PCs.
  • Crucial DDR5 UDIMM/SODIMM: Crucial is now offering its Crucial Classic DDR5 Memory in a 64GB density at the 5600 MT/s speed grade, across both UDIMM and SODIMM form factors. Crucial® DDR5 Memory has the blazing speed and massive bandwidth needed for the next generation of multi-core CPUs, allowing users to multitask better, load, analyze, edit, and render faster, game with higher frame rates and significantly reduce system lag for heavy workloads over the previous generation.

Crucial has expanded its portfolio based on industry demands, and we cannot wait to see what these products bring to the consumer markets.
